A BLINK OF THOUGHT
WHEN DEMONETIZATION HAPPENED
8th
November, 2016, a day to remember in the modern India. DEMONITIZATION announced
by Indian prime minister Mr. Narendra Modi which left entire country in dead
shock. Forget about understanding of the topic, for more than 90% of the
public even the word ‘demonetization’ itself new to them. Media tried to explain
people about that new wave in the best possible way.
After
understanding a little about demonetization a blink of thought whack my mind.
Majority of the black money generates from the tax paid by the tax payers of
the country. Government always blames tax payers as they are trying not to pay
full tax and trying to manipulate. The problem is a good tax payer doesn’t
really bother about paying tax, if all the money paid by him is solely used for
the growth of the nation.
Let’s
understand how black money generates from tax:
Our
government has taken a bold step by demonetizing the then existed currency with
a view to reduce the black money. It is not that corruption ends here, people
may find different means to do the corruption, and then legalizing the black
money. So, this step may not have the long-lasting impact towards prevention of
corruption because even our thoughts are corrupted.
Government
is making strict and stringent rules to arrest the corruption, but barely anything
is working at all. Despite making these kinds of measures, if government try to
change the mindsets of people to be better citizens, then change may come. If people
minds don’t change, then any kind of strict rule won’t make any impact. It
should start from government officials; they should be true to the common
public and set an example to them.
After
more than 3 and a half years of demonetization, I haven’t found any difference.
Good one
ReplyDeleteWell. The topic has debatable opinions.
ReplyDeleteWhat you said absolutely correct dude.. but the mindset of our people won't change. Everybody bothers only about their self growth.
ReplyDeletePeople should take initiative to fight against corruption from ground level.
